Nut trees in Kashmir

Pican fruit trees in Kashir
Nut Trees– A five-acre plot of mature nut trees can produce a full-time income when well managed. The newest method is using permaculture to create a natural forest, with taller nut trees, such as walnuts and chestnuts for the upper story and shade-tolerant nuts, such as filberts, for the lower story. Growing nut tree seedlings to sell on a portion of the acreage can provide additional income. When the larger trees are full-grown, they can be selectively harvested for their valuable timber, which can bring lakhs for just one tree.

Japanese Maple -Acer palmatum trees in Kashmir

Japanese maple trees in Kashmir
JAPANESE MAPLE – Acer palmatum is a small tree with a wide range of leaf shapes and colors that can be grown in most climate zones. Retail nurseries often refer to Japanese maples as a ‘collector’s tree,’ as collectors are willing to pay high prices. As an example, a local plant nursery that specializes in larger trees charges INR 3500 to 5000 for “specimen” Japanese maples.  The Japanese maple is a good choice for a tree nursery with limited space.
